We’re proud to share two special Local 98 highlights featured in the latest issue:
One of our members, Jim Nye, is proud of his granddaughter, Aaliyah for her incredible achievements both on and off the court. In December 2023, Aaliyah graduated with a degree in marketing. In June 2025, she earned her MBA. In April 2025, she was drafted 13th overall into the WNBA league to the Las Vegas Aces.
We also celebrated a proud moment as a 4th-generation member, Aaron Moskovitz, was sworn into the apprenticeship program in May 2024. The Moskovitz family’s history with Local 98 dates back to 1914, when the 1st-generation member, Isadore Muskovitz, founded the plumbing company, Muskovitz and Pershin, employing many Local 98 members. Aaron’s initiation into the Local was celebrated by his grandfather, Leon Moskovitz, who is a 65-year member.
